My new famous string art

 In lock down I taught myself how to do string art with out a tutorial. I will teach you how to do it.

I would say the learning was a success because they turned out pretty good. You will need a big thick needle, cotton string, a canvas, paint, scissors and masking tape. First cut masking tape to length of canvas. Then put tape on whatever place you want (I did sideways ). Paint the half then wait to dry before switching where the tape was put and paint the other side. When completely dry draw a design on the back and poke holes through the canvas from the design on the back. Then cut a long piece of string and divide into four pieces. Then put the little piece of string through the needle and tie a simple knot. Weave through the holes making sure that after you go through the hole from the back you go through the hole to make that stitch appear. Make sure to always end at the back of the canvas so you can cut of excess there and keep on going just like you started with a new piece of string. Have you ever made string art before?

Emily Carr art term 2 art

 This term my class has been learning about a famous Canadian artist named Emily Carr. Sadly Emily passed away 2 March 1945. Emily had a painting that was sold after she was dead for 3.9 million she really liked to paint trees and had a funky style. Here's a picture of a painting that Emily Carr made.

You can search up Emily Carr's paintings and there are a heap of pictures on google that she made.

So my class painted trees. First we used a sponge and painted 2-3 colours of paint onto a piece of paper. Then we had to draw on a piece of a visual on what we wanted our tree to look like. After that we had to look at our visual and try and paint it on our painting after they had dried. We also added grass at the bottom and we are very proud of us.

Our amazing ANZAC writing

 This is our ANZAC writing that we did last term and how we made it. I learn’t how to make a piece of paper look old so we could make our writing look old. Here is a picture.

It's a long process but the finishing product looks really cool.

This is how we made it.

We made it by writing letters on our computers from a perspective that makes us look like a nurse or a soldier I picked soldier. Then we got pieces of paper covered it in tea bags and sprinkled it with a burst teabag. Then we let it dry. Once it was dry we had to write down what we had written on our computer on the old pieces of paper with a pencil.. Then we got pictures of the war and cut out poppies. Lastly we glued the writing, the photos and poppies on to a black piece of paper.

My amazing passport about myself

 Here's a picture of my wonderful passport that I did a couple of weeks ago.

Here's how I made it. First I put my picture in the corner and put my name up the top. Then I chose a background that I thought was pretty. We had to put our family ,,our favourite colour and a couple of other things like my favourite food and what I am good at. I am proud of myself because I think the white words on the blue background looks good and everything blends in nicely. Do you think I did a good job? Do you have anything in common with me?

This is how I did it. My teacher Mr A printed out the posters then I wrote in my answers and along the way I coloured the little boxes. Once I had coloured them in I had to make it so that there was no white so I coloured the background. After that I showed Mr A he told me to cut around the edges so I did. After that he cut out little velcro and I stuck it up on the wall. What do you think I could do next time I get and all about me activity?

How to make paper hearts

 Today I was making a lot of stuff out of paper here is a picture of all the paper hearts that I made!

Daffodil art

 

This is my Daffidol art. I did the by getting three printed pictures and coloured it in with pastels. After I did that I smuged it with my finger. Then once I finished all of my pictures I cut it out and glued it on the black paper. We got to paint with cotton buds and we had to dry it. Then the assistant teacher Chris put words on it and we were finished. I am proud of it because I like the way the pastels looked with the daffidols.

Sumo paint

The is the Fox I made using Sumo paint. These are all the tools I used.

I used the curve tool to make all the curves. I used the coloured squares so then I can change the colours when I draw something. I used the brush to get the insides coloured. I also used the eraser because you won't get it first try. I liked doing it because you get to experiment with all the different tools and colours. My polyline face

This is my polyline face I made. The way I made this is I put a picture of my face and traced over with polyline I also had to turn it on see through and then I colour it then take the picture away.

My Lego animals

These are my animals out of Lego and they took two hours to make. I have a sheep that has no eyes I have a snake and a elephant and when I was making them I could not fin the right pieces so I had to extend them with smaller pieces.

My Tessellation art

This is my Tessellation art that I made at school. What you need to do so you can do this is, a big piece of paper, a little square of paper, your choice of two or three coloured pencils, something to cut with, a vivid and tape . You make it by getting the little bit of paper and colour one side with a regular pencil then cut a pattern that you can cut out and put on the opposite side. Then you trace it out on the big piece of paper with a regular pencil. After you have traced it with the pencil you trace over the pencil with vivid and then you colour them in with your coloured  pencils.

Melted crayon art

We were doing art we made our own clown. First we drew our clowns in our everyday book. Then we draw it on a big piece of paper. Then we choose our colours in the everyday book. The next day we melted  old crayons in a big Electric Frypan with hot water and a muffin tin inside with the melted crayons. We got to paint in the colours of green, dark green, blue, dark blue, light purple and dark purple, pink and orange. We all came up in a group of three and we asked for the coloured brush we needed by coping off our everyday book then we kept on colouring in.

It took a long time for every person to finish it took about one and a quarter weeks for everyone to finish . When everyone was finished colouring their clown we had to start doing the border of the clown next we did after we did the background. My clown has an orange hat with a green bell on the top, purple hair, two funny red horns, two blue eyes, a mouth and tongue, and on my T-shirt I had a green strip, a yellow strip, a purple stripe with red squares on it and another yellow strip with purple triangles on it. 

I my art think is pretty good, it wasn't what I thought it would be because I thought it would be better.
