My amazing passport about myself

 Here's a picture of my wonderful passport that I did a couple of weeks ago.

Here's how I made it. First I put my picture in the corner and put my name up the top. Then I chose a background that I thought was pretty. We had to put our family ,,our favourite colour and a couple of other things like my favourite food and what I am good at. I am proud of myself because I think the white words on the blue background looks good and everything blends in nicely. Do you think I did a good job? Do you have anything in common with me?

This is how I did it. My teacher Mr A printed out the posters then I wrote in my answers and along the way I coloured the little boxes. Once I had coloured them in I had to make it so that there was no white so I coloured the background. After that I showed Mr A he told me to cut around the edges so I did. After that he cut out little velcro and I stuck it up on the wall. What do you think I could do next time I get and all about me activity?

Kawa of care poster quite cool

 Here is a photo of my Kawa of care poster .

I have spent the last couple of days making this poster with my friends Lucy and Taylor. I did this by going on to Canva and signing in with google. We started with the background and chose rules for the Kawa of care and made a hook. By hook I mean something that will make people read our poster like the computer at the top.  We had to make a list of rules about the Kawa of care ,that looked boring, into a cool poster and I think we did pretty well. I am proud of me and my group because every thing is easy to see and it's got a good colour scheme. Have you ever made a poster using Canva?

Is it a real or fake face?

Here is the picture that I thought I would show you. I had to use arrows pointing to the areas that were the reasons why I thought one was real and one was fake.

I chose this picture because I thought it was the easiest to point out the reasons why I knew my answer was right. I thought that it was a good idea to share with you what 10 pictures that came up on my screen when I was doing this summer learning journey challenge. This is definitely the weirdest summer learning journey challenge so far. I am proud of myself because I got most of the questions right and think that I did a pretty good job at explaining the reasons why I knew the picture on the right was right. How to make paper hearts

 Today I was making a lot of stuff out of paper here is a picture of all the paper hearts that I made!

I hope you had fun if you tried making these super cool paper love hearts. I am very proud of my paper love hearts the more I did the better I got. I have spent a lot of time and effort into this post so I hope you enjoyed. These are really good to put on cards and in things that show you love someone because they are love hearts. SLJ Haiku poem

I had a really fun time doing this I can't wait to do the rest of the summer learning journey. I did it by making my pictures on sumopaint and finding good things about summer and making them work with the 5-7-5 syllable rule. A haiku poem is a poem with 5 syllables the 7 syllables and then again 5 syllables. I have a lot of work ahead of me because I have been at my grandmas & my granny and grandads. We also just got back from camping in the caravan in Hanmer Springs today so i can't wait to catch up on all of the work I have to do. I hope you enjoyed looking at my blog post I just want to say happy holidays. :)

Paper helicopter

We had a challenge with a couple of people at a time to see who has got the best helicopter.

   

These are the paper helicopters we made for a reading task at school because it was related to the story. I had to get a 1x10 inches strip of paper and a paperclip. We had to fold the paper in half and fold the flaps down after that we had to fold the other end of the helicopter 2 inches up and then put a paperclip on the end. I am proud of it because it spins really well. It was really cool seeing everybody spinning the helicopters.

Mr Kinane

This is what it would look like if my group finished but we didn't. We got two micro bits, a Cricket, some sort of spinning device and two battery packs. We got a cup and a straw the straw acting like the garage door opener. We had to down a code onto the micro bits and set them to any angles we wanted and then it would work like this one.

Planting with Sarah

 Today my class was planting with our Teachers friend Sarah.

Here is a picture of me planting I am the girl beside Sarah in the pink jacket. We were planting Toe Toe and Mountain Akeake. First we got soil and put them into the containers and sprinkled the Mountain Akeake onto the soil. We had to do two and make sure we had spread it out so that when they grow to be big they will not push on each other to much. Next we put the Toe Toe on the soil and covered it up with soil on all the trays. We had to make sure that they were going to grow so we used a spray bottle with water in it and ran down to the propagation tunnel to put them in. We enjoyed planting the plants and we can't wait until they are fully grown. I am proud because I had learned new plant's.

Daffodil art

 

This is my Daffidol art. I did the by getting three printed pictures and coloured it in with pastels. After I did that I smuged it with my finger. Then once I finished all of my pictures I cut it out and glued it on the black paper. We got to paint with cotton buds and we had to dry it. Then the assistant teacher Chris put words on it and we were finished. I am proud of it because I like the way the pastels looked with the daffidols.

My sea Collage

This is my Collage about the sea. I did this by getting colours from explore and masked them into shapes. I got the back ground and animal from explore. I am proud of it because I had only made to Collages in my life and I am surprised that I can do something like this. I did it because we have been doing one everyday and I wanted to do water because our body is mostly made of water. I have made a Starwhale inside my custom sea.

Barrier game

This is a picture of our barrier challenge. This is how it worked.  We had a buddy and we were put with our chrome books touching so that you won't see each others screen. We got given a grid and the other person (partner) got pictures on a grid. I had to direct my partner clearly so that she could put the pictures the right place on the grid. We swapped around and this is one of mine that I did. I got every thing except a little thing on the pirate and the parrot in the right place. I'm proud because I gave clear directions and had a really good grid when my buddy Olivia explained it to me.

Enviroschools

We did this because our teacher thought is was a good idea to make the schools Environment look a little more better. We had the job of weeding all the weeds and organising the plants that are the same together. I'm proud because we are all helping our schools environment. We id it by shifting stuff longways and making more space for plants.

Bubble animation with Violet

I did this because we had do get a buddy from Ruma Kotuku and picture them in or on a bubble where ever they want. Then the teacher decided to turn it into a animation. I did this by taking pictures and ctrl c v to get the same slide then I rotate it so it will turn into a big animation in the end. I am proud of it because the first animation I did took 1 week and this one took ten minutes. Violet showed me how to draw on her iPad by changing colours to erasing them.

Book creator

 I'm doing an example on how to use book creator. I did it because I wanted people to discover book creator and have fun like me. I learn't that you can record your voice and use people from programmes like family the Simpsons I also learn't that it helps with our quality conversations. I did it for Cybersmart because Mrs Minehan wanted us to do this week. Have you ever used book creator?

The plastic free challenge

I did this blog post about the plastic free challenge because if all the schools in NZ will do it then we could make a difference. It makes a difference because if we don't use much of it then we won't produce much more plastic. I challenge my class to do the plastic free challenge and any other TUHI ATU TUHI MAI classes to try it too.

My Ship creation

This is my ship creation. It is called the Sea Basher because bashes against all the waves and does not end up in any mishaps. I did it because for a reading task. we had to make up our own custom boat. I have made a boat that will never ever sink because it is small and steady over waves. I did it by making a Pixle Editor ocean waves with Gradient and pencil for the white pieces. After I just made up a random design and put it all together after captions.

Learning about some Science

 I thought the powder would turn in to Crystals or slime. I had to pour water with Jack T into the powder and every time it kept on getting bigger and bigger and the Teacher put in Sodium (salt) and it dissolved it back into water . I observed it growing bigger than it started of from a tiny bit of powder. I had learnt that Science is really cool and I want to do more studies on Science. I was blown away from what I was watching when it was getting bigger JackT and I managed to get 37 scoops of water in and then it started to overflow.

Animation

I have created a animation about Donald Trump. I created it at School for CyberSmart, I created it by removing the background and putting it in a slide and then I do it to a different picture and keep screen shooting little parts and it turns into a funny tiger. I learn't that you can make the increase on the slide smaller to make it look better. I'm proud of it because I had never really done an animation before. Have you ever done an Animation?
