The last thing I have learnt from the video is the Williams Family moved to compton, california. I would like to know how Serena started playing Tennis?

SLJ Teaser The wall

I don't like Donald Trumps idea of building a wall to stop getting people to Mexico and the USA. I don't think it is fair for people who want to go somewhere but they can't. I think it is mean to not let people go where they want to. I don't get it.

If I protested I would protest on war. I would try to stop war. I would say to people stop wars happening because it is sad and not nice. War is not nice because when people die it is very sad and heartbreaking.

My friend Taylor is proud of making me her bff also known as best friends forever. She is proud of making a really hard walk up a mountain track it took a lot of encouragement and stopping but she eventually made it .

The water project is trying to help people that don't have water. 300,000,000 people would walk around in the morning trying to find any thing to drink. Some people don't even have water  but little do they know the clean water they are looking for is right below them. They can have a barrel and catch rain water . Some people have died from drinking any dirty water.

SLJ Teaset - Lorde

Today my classroom is doing a tease of the summer learning journey we had to use google draw to make a poster about Lorde. Each day we get three blog posts because there are three activities for a day.

Coding

O)n Monday 11th of November we had Coding on Tynker with Mr Kinane. I tried doing some things but it was getting hard and I got stuck loads of times but eventually I got them. The thing we did without Mr kinane and tried to do a triangle that kept on going bigger and bigger. All the Coding blocks we used are right here.                                   I got the final result I decided to colour it rainbow by starting of with the colour red.

Calendar art

I made portal calendar art by getting the paper from my teacher and drew a circle and eight lines out of it followed by a different two circles a little bit out from the other circle.

The I picked purple and dark blue pastels and coloured the bits in like the picture on the screen. Then my teacher took photos of us and we glued it to the little circle that we started of with and that is how you make a calendar art. After we glued our photo we had to write our name age and class we are in.

Haiku poem

A Haiku poem is a poem that has syllables that go 5 75 . You don't have to write all about you on every one if you try it out.

Math's

Me and my class had a long time to get a slide open and share it as a group and this is me and Leon who is my friend. After we shared it with each other we put pictures in and typed in repeated addition and multiplication.

Coding

When my class was coding on Tynker  we used on start, pen down, pen colour, pen size, repeat and another repeat, pixels and a right degree and then one more. If we wanted to clear our designs then we have to connect the clear to the degree at the bottom. I made my design out of on start, pen down, and the colour red, and then pen size five, repeat and another repeat then I did change pen colour by ten. You can explore with Tynker by changing the numbers and the colours.

Blue Poem

My favourite part about doing this was creating the background on pixel editor. I had to use my favourite colour which is blue so I had to use cracks with different shades of blue like light blue background and dark blue cracks and meteorite blue of a different crack shape. The thing I like most about mine is the background music because it is peaceful and calming so my video will make the rest of your day fresh like it just started all over again.

Melted crayon art

We were doing art we made our own clown. First we drew our clowns in our everyday book. Then we draw it on a big piece of paper. Then we choose our colours in the everyday book. The next day we melted  old crayons in a big Electric Frypan with hot water and a muffin tin inside with the melted crayons. We got to paint in the colours of green, dark green, blue, dark blue, light purple and dark purple, pink and orange. We all came up in a group of three and we asked for the coloured brush we needed by coping off our everyday book then we kept on colouring in.

It took a long time for every person to finish it took about one and a quarter weeks for everyone to finish . When everyone was finished colouring their clown we had to start doing the border of the clown next we did after we did the background. My clown has an orange hat with a green bell on the top, purple hair, two funny red horns, two blue eyes, a mouth and tongue, and on my T-shirt I had a green strip, a yellow strip, a purple stripe with red squares on it and another yellow strip with purple triangles on it. 

I my art think is pretty good, it wasn't what I thought it would be because I thought it would be better.

My holidays

In the holidays when me and my family woke up we had breakfast and brushed our teeth. After that we got packed up to go to Australia then we picked our clothes to wear and put them on. Then we started packing up the car and just like that we were off just in time to go to the Christchurch Airport. When we got to the Christchurch Airport we started to get moving and had a snack then we were off to Australia. 

When we got to Australia we had to go to the Gold Coast and when we got to the hotel we saw a pool. When we saw the pool we begged our mum and dad to go in it because they had to supervise us. The good news, they said yes and we all went in the pool, but mum didn’t, I think she was hiding a secret. We went in the pool everyday. There was a cold pool, hot pool a warm pool and hot pool with bubbles and me and my brother lifted our rash shirts and it looked like we were having a baby. Caleb’s was like an inflatable and it was so funny he looked like our dad but with a smaller body. When we got out we were really sad because it was so much fun.

The next day we had sausages for breakfast and then went to the pool straight away. After we went in the pool mum and dad had a surprise we were so exited and guess what the surprise was, we got to go to the Gold Coast Seaworld. So we had to get ready and we had to dry our hair and get dressed. When me and my brother were ready we played with the mermaid

book that I got we scratched and coloured in the other page. After everyone was ready we got into the car and made our way to Seaworld on the Gold Coast. When we got there we signed in and went to the aquarium. When we got to the aquarium we saw heaps of jellyfish. When we had finished we looked at the sharks and starfish we had to leave early because everyone started fighting except me and mum. I was getting sick of it so we had to leave and we didn’t get a treat because everyone was fighting. When we were walking out of seaworld I was kind of sad because we didn’t get to do that much. When we got back to the hotel we all were packing up to go the next day. After we had lunch we got ready because we were going out for dinner. When it was just about going to go me and my brother played chess after that we were all ready to go we hopped in the car. When mum and dad said we were going out for dinner we didn’t know where we were going and when we got there mum and dad said it was going to be pizza. Then we were getting ready to order when it was time to order we ordered meat lovers and Hawaiian it tasted like heaven. 

The next day we were getting ready to go on the plane we went into the car and then went to the Australia airport. When we were in the plane we were of to Christchurch. When we got to the Christchurch Airport we collected our car and we drove back to Hokitika. Then me and my sister played chess when we got home and had dinner, after I won the game of chess. 

The next day we went to the pool. All of the the other days we were playing chess , working down the land, watching YouTube and eating. 

Reflection term 2 2019

My favourite subject is math because when you learn it is fun and there are many different ways you can solve an equation or a question. I need to learn more about my basic facts and multiplication. I am great at reading, writing and math. I like it because when you read you learn more stuff about life and words and writing has hand eye coordination that I am good at. I need to work on writing and typing faster because when I try to do something sometimes I mess up and sometimes don’t spell the right words.

Cross country

On Friday we went to Mr Morrison's farm were we could do cross country.  The farm was not that far away from our school our safety rule were the youngest on the inside of the side walk. This year we started the race in a different area. We went because we were doing cross country to practise for any other stages in our life when we are older. There were heaps of people there to cheer us on during the whole entire race. I felt nervous and wondering if I was going to beat my time.  When everyone went in their race we had to go down and turn the corner and then run down a big paddock that is long.  After we had to go to a muddy sludge area and go across a bridge. Then we went over a muddy stream and climb up a big hill . Next I ran straight and turned and went down a big hill I could now see the finish line and then I run through as the crowd is clapping .

First we had the year 1, 2 and 3 do 1 lap.  After was the Year 5 and 6's  they did 2 laps and last but not lest were  the Year 4 who did 2 laps as well.

When we got back to school we got changed back into our school clothes so then we weren't cold and freezing.

When I finished I was so relieved and proud because I did my very best and I beat my time yay.

Vocabulary

What I have learnt is that the word bolt can mean more than one thing. Bolts can build and make many different creations by holding things together.  It also means a lightning bolt and to run really fast.

Coding

On Monday our class played around with Tynker. We made heaps of different shapes and we used heaps of different codes. First we made a square. The codes we used were the when up arrow pressed , pen down , set pen size to 2 or 5 , set pen colour ,  repeat 4 x 2 ,move pixels 200 , turn right 90 degrees. I found it easy when I got the hang of it. I found it hard when I could not do that much at the start.

My favourite thing is do backflips and go swimming and playing on mums computer. My family members are dad mum, Anika and Caleb. I'm good at doing backflips on the tramp and playing hide and seek. Adding Ones and Tens

We have to add ones and tens. First we made the tens by adding the tens together. Then you add the ones. Lastly you had to all the answer together.

Cybersmart

we have learnt to put your chromebook on charge when you are not using it. You have a lot of responsibility to take care of your chromebook. Keep your password secret if you don't people might sneak into your account. Make sure you are in the right place at the right time. Don't stack stuff on your chomebook because when you close it you will break the screen. You are not allowed to have food next to your chromebook.

Maths Shapes

A Triangle has 3 sides and 3 corners. A  Rectangle has 4 sides and 4  corners. Trapezium has 4 sides and 4 corners.A square has 4 corners and an octagon has 6 sides and 6 corners.  My picture is a dragon.

  

First we had to look at the questions then we planed and we write down the anser.

Art

First we painted it with dye on the paper. Then we printed our writing out. Next we glued it on the the paper with the dye. Then we took a picture of our self then print it of then get it then you are done after you glue it on. Then you can show it to other people then you can teach them.
My favourite part was doing the dye because we got to make our own patterns.  Next time I would improve on my cutting.
